Therefore, they need to be part of our series of models commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Boeing 727. Air France operated a total of 29 Boeing 727s of the longer -200 series for next to a quarter of a century, from 1968 to 1992. The trijet replaced the locally produced Sud Aviation Caravelle, itself being replaced by the then new Airbus A320.
