  • The Buick Century was the name given to a series of the company's cars at various intervals between 1936 and 2005. During that time, the shapes varied dramatically and our Buick Century is modelled on one of the vehicles produced by Buick during the mid 1950s, which used their same smaller, lighter Buick body but incorporated a high powered engine. From the four body styles of the original vehicle, the Oxford model is based on the 2-door coupé or sedan. To date, as well as some great two-tone colour schemes, our 1:87 scale authentically researched model has also been released as used exclusively by the California Highway Patrol and as a New York Taxi.
    During this period in real life, the Buick Century was definitely their high performance car with a 236 hp engine. A padded safety dashboard was apparently optional!
